Created over several years with numerous meetings of agricultural stakeholders around West Virginia, The Road Map for the Food Economy provides a way to measure progress being made in the food system.

This Working Group provides opportunities for increased availability, affordability, and accessibility of local foods so that West Virginias can consume healthy, local food at the household level in order to improve the overall health of residents.

This Working Group provides policy and procedure to 1) increase the participation of youth and new farmers in the agricultural economy and 2) ensure that our schools are buying healthy local foods.
