WV Mobile Markets Will Share Project Details on August 12 Webinar

Charleston, West Virginia, July 30, 2015 – You may have shopped at a farmers market, but have you ever shopped at a Mobile Market? On August 12th at 11am, the public is invited to learn about how Mobile Markets are bringing fresh produce to underserved areas of West Virginia. Presenting during the webinar will be My Mobile Market from Williamson, West Virginia, and Grow Ohio Valley from Wheeling, West Virginia. Both projects are in their second year of operation, and will be sharing their history, current data, and challenges.

This webinar will also highlight the work of Mid-Ohio Valley Edibles, a farmer-cooperative group that will begin operating a Mobile Market in 2015.

Mobile Markets represent an exciting new way to address healthy food access in underserved areas of the state, and webinar attendees will be educated on the strengths and challenges of this new model.
